Thank You Bipolar UK

Back in 2020 when I was diagnosed with Type II Bipolar I knew nothing about the condition or how it would affect mine and my family’s lives.

I’d heard of Bipolar UK, but hadn’t looked into what they offered.

Now they’re part of my morning routine. I use the Mood App before I do anything else, then go onto the eCommunity and check for messages.

I’ve attended a virtual group meeting and have spoken to one of their peer support workers. He wasn’t bipolar, however he had cared for a family member who was and gave me an insight into his experience, as well as some great advice on how to deal with my current hypomanic episode.

In a short space of time I feel like I’m part of their tribe.

If you’re struggling, reach out to that friend or family member you know will answer the call. If you don’t have one then call one of the many charities, such as The Samaritans.

If you’re bipolar the best source of information and support is Bipolar UK.
